What are my career options after ICAI?

The Institute of Cost and Accountants of India (ICAI) is the only recognized statutory professional organization and licensing body in India that specializes in Cost and Management Accountancy. There are several training programmes and online accounting courses offered by ICAI. Each one of these programs is specialized and contributes to the economic empowerment of the nation. The programs are designed around Cost and Work Accountancy and can be pursued after +2 or graduation. The various courses offered by ICAI are divided into three categories Foundation, Intermediate and Final.

Career prospects after ICAI:

Cost accountants are of great value to business firms and organizations more and more businesses are becoming increasingly aware of the importance of cost accountants and their ability to contribute towards the business objectives. D programme in commerce. The Cost and management accountants are a part of the all India cadre known as Indian Cost Accounts Service (ICAS).

Eligibility criteria for ICAI:

Foundation course:

One must have completed 10 + 2 or senior secondary or intermediate examination of a Board/University recognized by the Central Government or State Government or any other examination equivalent to and recognized by the All India Council of Technical Education or National Council of Higher Education.

Intermediate Course:

Pursued a course at the 10 + 2 +3 level or at the foundation level examinations. 

Final course:

There are no minimum qualifications. One may be graduate or post-graduate from a reputed college/ university.
